This morning I thought: Let's give it a try this week. To practice every morning. There is no Moon Day this week. So let's do five out of five, Monday through Friday, on the mat at 6 AM. Primary Series (I mean half Primary in my case, since I still am a new newbie). Chanting the opening prayer. Focus. Drishtis. Breathing. Sweating. Struggling. Being happy. Doubting. Feeling blessed. Five mornings in a row in the beautiful shala. No wining and dining in the evening. No sleeping in. Just do it (..).
Then I realized I practiced yesterday, so maybe I can do six (6!) practices in a row. Like I am supposed to do, as I want to be an Ashtangi.
This morning I practiced. Number two of this week. (I suppose as an Ashtangi the week starts at Sunday.) The practice felt good, although I forgot to do Navasana. This never happened to me before. Ah well. I'll give this pose some extra attention tomorrow. I was tired, due to light sleeping (full moon?) and having a heavy head caused by hay fever, but my body felt light and strong. When I did headstand, I had the feeling I could take a nap in that position. But I didn't. Tomorrow will be day three.
