So yes, yesterday was a Super Moon Sunday. It was the first and at the same time last Super Moon of this year. But I did not even see it. It was rainy, cloudy and cold weather. I only went outside to buy food and I ate a lot! I had tomato soup with couscous for breakfast, a salad and yogurt for lunch, a pizza for dinner and I ate cookies and drop as a snack. Maybe this over eating was due to the super moon, but I know myself: I just like to eat when I am around the house doing nothing special (a bit of reading, cleaning, cooking, social media and tv). I did not practice yoga. I mean I did not practice the primary series of Ashtanga, because my life is yoga / yoga is my life and of course I practice it all day long (....).
Last week I practiced six times. I started on Sunday with Led Class where my teacher put the question in my head: 'Is Your Practice Stable?' That is the one question you have to ask yourself, he told us. At that point my practice wasn't stable at all, so I decided to try to make it one. By practicing six times in a row, I was able to say on Friday: Yes, this week my practice was stable. I could do the binding myself in Marichyasana D and I practiced Bhujapidasana:
Bhuja: arm/shoulder Pida: pressure Asana: pose
A couple of times the teacher stood behind me to squeeze my lower abdominals. It is a great reminder. As soon as he stopped squeezing, I lost my balance and fell on my butt. I heard myself say: 'I am sorry!' I had to ask myself where I was sorry for. Even Kino falls on her butt sometimes. Who cares. It is a practice.
