What is it with me? Today, the world was mine. No actual duties and no office to go to. Sunday on a Monday, since it is still Easter.
I met a friend for coffee, went to the store to pick up some food, made lunch (spaghetti with a union-carrot-olives-garlic-zucchini-capers-red pepper-tomato sauce), did some reading and surfing and then started my practice. I noticed that I was in a hurry. I noticed it and I said to myself: Hola, what is up? You are in a hurry, why? No train to catch, no appointment later on. Enjoy the practice, enjoy your body, focus on your breathing. This helped me to be more in the moment.
Time was on my side, but I still hurried. It got me thinking that I am almost always in a kind of hurry. I move fast. I don't walk slow. But why? It reminded me of a sentence I wrote down in my little notebook (and it is there for a reason so I must have dealt with this before): why hurry? It is there. You'll get there.
